Become a member of the James F. Haefele Memorial Scholarship Alumni/Faculty Choir

After losing the beloved Jim Haefele to Covid in early 2020, we are thrilled to finally be able to honor his memory through an evening of music that will raise funds so that the music scholarship in his name can live on in perpetuity. The goal is to raise $50,000 so that we may annually award two $1,000 scholarships to deserving music students from HHH High School East and HHH High School West for years to come.

As a participant in the Alumni/Faculty Choir, not only will your membership fee count as a tax-deductible donation to the scholarship fund, but you will also join Mr. Haefele's former students and colleagues to perform the music that was nearest and dearest to him. Please note that rehearsal will take place on Friday, February 10, from 6-10pm and the concert will take place on Saturday, February 11 (4pm call time, 7pm show). Rehearsal is required for participation.

We're excited to announce that famed arranger, Kirby Shaw, will be joining us for this exciting, music-filled weekend. Not only will he be conducting a special jazz ensemble during the concert, but he will be giving two exclusive workshops on Saturday, February 11 (12:30pm and 1:30pm).

Please explore the different levels of membership to see all of the exciting opportunities.

- Combined Choir - largest choir made up of all participating alumni, faculty, and current students (1 song)

- Alumni/Faculty Choir - choir made up of all alumni and faculty participants (4 songs)

- Halftones Jazz Ensemble - small jazz choir conducted by Kirby Shaw (3 songs)

The above is subject to change based on participation.

Once you have purchased a membership, you can expect to receive a follow-up email from the Planning Committee with links to music and other instructions.

Please note that after party plans for both Friday and Saturday nights are still developing. More information will be provided later this year.
